Our last day and last lock of the 2022 boat trip. We depart Waterford at 6:45 and head north on the Hudson River. We will travel 37 miles, through 6 locks, arriving six hours later at the boat ramp in Fort Edward. NY. Our friends Kathryn and Jim brough our truck and trailer to the boat ramp and were a big help getting The Jill Kristy out of the water.
We have traveled 1500 miles, been through 192 locks and spent 107 days on the boat. We have had a wonderful time. By far the majority of folks in this world are nice, generous and fun people. We did not arrive back in Frostproof until Oct. 14, 2022. We spent the 29 days in between the 14 of September and the 14 of October visiting friends and family on our way driving home from Hudson Falls, New York. It is our hope and prayer that we will be able to continue our adventures each summer to escape the extreme heat in Florida.

What another fantastic adventure! We have enjoyed reading your posts! Oddly there is a limpkin 2 miles from my house in Kansas. It’s apparently on an epic adventure as well.
