September 17, 2016February 2, 2023 9/16/2016 Leaving little Kelly island today will be long and hot at 95! Still beautiful. Any time there are homes along the river they have to put in these major rock retaining walls so the river will not undermine the banks. Even when they do build the retaining walls the banks still give way. We were almost past this home when we noticed three of the carport pillars are hanging in mid air. The whole embankment slid into the rivers edge. Lock and dam at Pickwick lake. Barge bollards. Open wide We are the only one to be lifted 55 feet. Lake Pickwick. We are looking for the turn onto the Yellow River. Yeah! Yellow River. Just one mile to our destination. It is going to rain for the next two days so we are headed for Grand Harbor Marina.
