August 10 & 11, 2022

All travel on a small boat is dictated by weather especially wind. We knew the evening of the 10th and the whole of the 11th would be very windy so we wanted to get to a very protected anchorage. Knowing this we left our friends Glenn and Lorraine early in the morning. We had traveled with them for a couple of weeks, then they returned home until we arrived at their marina. We traveled together again for almost 2 weeks. Together we traveled our longest day of the trip which was 6.5 hours and logging 43 miles. Our place of choice to anchor was a small bay tucked up in the interior of Bone Island. We had the anchorage to ourselves the first night and only had distant neighbors the second night. We swam, worked on this blog and read the whole time we were here. We were so protected that our boat never even pulled the anchor road tight.
